Schnaps

“Donnerstags oder Freitags kauf ich mir ne Leinwand,

Samstags den Schnaps
und Montags dann, da betrinke ich mich
und male ein Bild.“

Schnaps ist eine spielerische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Kunst und Alkohol.
Viele Künstler arbeiten mit der Unterstützung von bewusstseinsverändernden Substanzen, denen sie auch nicht selten zum Opfer fallen.

Meine Arbeit war ein Selbstexperiment bei dem ich mich mit verschiedenen Schnäpsen betrank und währenddessen ein Bild malte. Mit einem Diktiergerät hielt ich meine Gedanken während des Abends fest.

Die Bilder sind den Alkoholsorten gewidmet die ich beim jeweiligen Bild trank: Bier, Wein, Wodka, Gin, Whiskey, Absinth und Baileys.

Schnaps is a playful examination of the topic of art and alcohol.
Many artists work with the support of mind-altering substances, to which they often fall victim.

My work was a self-experiment in which I got drunk with different schnapps and painted a picture while doing so. I used a dictaphone to record my thoughts during the evening.

The pictures are dedicated to the types of alcohol I drank with each picture: beer, wine, vodka, gin, whiskey, absinthe and Baileys.
